Ashtavinayak darshan cab from Pune

All 8 Ganpati temples · about 650 to 700 km · 2 days · sedan ₹13/km on the HireCab Pune rate card

Planning Ashtavinayak darshan from Pune? A Pune to Ashtavinayak cab takes your family to all eight self-manifested (swayambhu) Ganpati temples of Maharashtra in one comfortable trip. Pune is the best starting point for the Ashtavinayak yatra, because five of the eight temples are in Pune district and the first temple, Morgaon, is only about 65 km away. We pick you up anywhere in Pune or Pimpri-Chinchwad, and one clean car with one patient driver who knows every temple stays with you for both days.

Bus tours keep a fixed timetable and leave little time for each darshan. With a private car your family sets the pace, rests when the elders need it, and spends as long as you like at each Ganpati.

Ashtavinayak Darshan Order (Traditional Sequence)

By tradition, the Ashtavinayak yatra starts at Morgaon, visits the temples in a fixed order, and ends with a second darshan at Morgaon. Our drivers follow this order unless you ask for a shorter route.

  • 1. Shri Mayureshwar, Morgaon (Pune district) - about 65 km from Pune. The yatra begins here.
  • 2. Shri Siddhivinayak, Siddhatek (Ahilyanagar district) - on the bank of the Bhima river, the only Ashtavinayak temple whose Ganpati has his trunk turned to the right.
  • 3. Shri Ballaleshwar, Pali (Raigad district) - the Ganpati named after his devotee Ballal.
  • 4. Shri Varadvinayak, Mahad (Raigad district) - near Khopoli, where a lamp is said to have burned continuously for over a century.
  • 5. Shri Chintamani, Theur (Pune district) - the closest temple to Pune, about 25 km away.
  • 6. Shri Girijatmaj, Lenyadri (Pune district) - inside a Buddhist cave complex on a hill, reached by a climb of about 300 steps.
  • 7. Shri Vighnahar, Ozar (Pune district) - on the bank of the Kukadi river, with a golden dome.
  • 8. Shri Mahaganapati, Ranjangaon (Pune district) - on the Pune–Ahilyanagar highway, the last of the eight before you return to Morgaon.

Ashtavinayak Yatra from Pune by Cab or Bus?

MSRTC and private operators run Ashtavinayak bus tours from Pune, and they are cheaper per seat. But they follow a fixed timetable, start at a fixed point, and leave little time at each temple. A private cab picks you up at home, waits as long as you need for every darshan, and lets you stop for meals and rest. For a family of four or more, a sedan or Ertiga often costs about the same as bus tickets for everyone.
